Q - Why would I want to play here?

A – You very well may not. We're not going to pretend that this theme is going to appeal to most RPers. In fact we know it wont. Most RPers prefer something supernatural, science fiction, or fantasy in their RP. That's just great, but some players have less interest in crunching number and surviving a zombie apocalypse. Some of us enjoy the scheming, backstabbing RP that comes with power struggles or even the mental and emotional RP that is gained from social RP. This is where those players can find something to gain. Here your character is measured less by their stats and combat rolls and more by the RP they provide. An active character is naturally going to surpass an inactive character, People can rise and fall based on their choices rather than their numbers, and the more they get to know the other cast, the more important they become to the story.

Naturally we don't expect to have a game with 88+ nightly log-ins, and that is not and never will be our goal. Our goal is to have fun! We want to RP. We want to see what types of stories we can spin and where our choices will take our characters. If you love the twist and turns of shows like Degrassi or Life of an American Teen then you'll enjoy it here. If Supernatural is your favorite show and you simply can't live without a werewolf to crunch or a vampire to love, then you're going to find yourself very bored and likely very unmoved by our theme.

Q - Can I play a Parent?

A – Sure you can. There's no reason to restrict something like that, especially if it may lead to more RP. Naturally anyone apping the parent of an already existing character should first get permission. You never know if things have already been decided about a parent. Secondly you need to be prepared to RP the part. Make sure that both of you know how you intend to play that character. Is she a strict mother, or is she a bad parent bent on being a friend instead? Make sure you're both prepared to be respectful of the player AND the character. The player playing the teen will need to remember that while the parent's player is not their OOC boss, in the IC world, they DO hold authority over your PC.
