*Garnet has a tiny company that she calls Garnet's Treasures. It isn't anything official, that's just what she calls the little outfit she has for creating people clothing. She doesn't charge an arm and a leg and views it more like social currency.

*She cannot hear. Exploring this fact would be very interesting as far as making social scenes work along with unique communicating types! She does read lips. 

*Poor. Garnet doesn't exactly look it because she is able to sew things together that make her look classy. However, she is from a poor section of town and lives with her mother.
