Flaws
-
- Controlling Parents
- Type: Disadvantages
- Cost: 3pt
- Your parents just arent ready to let you live your own life. True you may not be legally an adult, but their hold is so tight that you have few choices to make. This can either cause someone to be very unsure of themselves, or very rebellious. Either way any parties you attend you probably either lie to them about your location, or sneak out after lights out. This hinders your social and dating life in a very real way, as your friends and romantic interests are expected to meet your parents approval, as is your academic achievements.
- These level of your parents control will need to be laid out clearly in your background. This will also be expected to appear in RP and character development.
-
- Wild Child (3pt)
- Type: Disadvantages
- Cost: 3pt
- Maybe you have controlling parents or maybe you just love to be a rebel, but you live to break rules and nothing gives you more cause then to be told not to do something.
- Remember that rebellion is not a pass to do anything you want, or a pass to ignore common sense. Very real consequences can come from making back IC choices. All rules were not made to be broken! (This is not normal teenage rebellion.)
-
- Single Parent (4pt)
- Type: Disadvantages
- Cost: 4pt
- Your house runs on one parents income and one parents attempts to...well, be a parent. Maybe your other parent is living happily elsewhere in town? Maybe you don't know them. Maybe they have another family in another state? Either way your one parent holds the burden on raising you.
-
- Neglectful Parents (4pt)
- Type: Disadvantages
- Cost: 4pt
- It doesn't mean they don't love you, but your parent(s) just don't do their job. Maybe they think being your friend is better than being a parent, or maybe they are so overworked and tired they let things slip? Maybe they just don't care at all. Either way you cook, clean and tend to yourself. The only thing your parent does is pay the bills.
-
- Bad Divorce (4pt)
- Type: Disadvantages
- Cost: 4pt
- Your house is a war zone when it comes to your parents. They no longer live together, and thats a very good thing. The divorce was nasty and the relationship between them still is. Maybe it was about money, cheating or even custody over you. Either way, they hate one another and you occasionally get put in the middle.
-
- Broken Home (4pt)
- Type: Disadvantages
- Cost: 4pt
- This is different from a 'bad divorce'. Your parent or parents are dead and you live with an older sibling, grandparent(s) or other guardian of blood relation.
