"1st National Bank" is the largest bank in Lantern Hill, having bought out and consolidated several smaller financial institutions. The bank does a booming business providing loans to developers and new businesses moving into the city. It owns a considerable amount of real estate, which it leases or sells as needed. It holds mortgages on more property than any other financial institution in the Monterey Bay area.
The bank's blue-and-white lighthouse logo is a common sight on ads and billboards around the city, and can be found on most of Lantern Hill's automatic teller machines as well. The bank prides itself on quick and courteous customer service at all its branches.
