Summary
After the game, friends meet up at Club-X for a little fun and conversation.
Location
Club X

Forecast: Autumn. Clear. 53.8F 12C
What was once a simple warehouse has been remodeled, redecorated, and staffed, now pounding and pulsing with the mixed sound of industrial music mixed and crooning of lead singers. Club X, the once dead and silent building now one of the most popular nightspots in town, especially for the underage students.

Shining through the smoke that slowly crawls toward the high ceilings are the flashing lights from the dance floor, which itself takes up a fair portion of the room; wherever tables haven't been set up. Crowded with the throng of bodies moving to the beat of the music, there always seems to be room for one more person out there. High above, in the darkness of the ceiling, are countless speakers, also lining the massive support columns of the building.

  • At end is the large stage, a place for bands to set up.
  • A purple neon X is placed overtop one of the bars.
  • The bar top is black metal, lined by chrome and black metal stools.
  • Black cushioned booths fill the corners.
  • High above the dance floor is a VIP balcony for the more important guests.
  • Off to one side is a heavy oak door reading STAFF.
  • This club does not have open mic nights.

  • NOTE: This is a dry bar. No alcohol is sold here in any way.

The team officially sucks! How many more games do they lose before the season is over? That's the question circulating the town as students make their way to their after game activities.

Not that Kelly went to the game. In fact, Kelly is in the club, seated near the entrance as he talks with a small group of teens..none of which look like they belong in the tranquil streets of western Lantern Hill.
Overhead the lights keep time with the beat of the heavily industrial tunes of Tool. After all...they play GOOD music here.

The likes of Club X is more of the kind of places that Shane frequented before he came to the idyllic Lantern Hill. No this week, he isn't joining in the 'we lost, yet we're gonna celebrate anyway' party. Instead he headed over to the wrong side of the tracks. He is wearing a pair of faded jeans and a silvery grey hoodie, both of which pale enough to glow if there is any black light present. His jacket was left in the car. He walks into the club glancing casually about. He spots Kelly amidst the group. He offers him a bit of a smile and a nod. Yeah, this place is better than the bubblegum pop that he was subjected to at the Firefly.

Ellis wasn't planning on going to the game, but she was talked into it, or dragged along depending on which way you look at it. Now that its over however she's found a ride to the club. While its not the first place one might expect to find her, but its not overly unusual either. Walking through the door she's with a few other girls from her class, but once inside they go their separate ways - the others heading for the dance floor while the blonde searches out Kelly.

Shane gets a nod and a lazy wave (from a red stained hand), before the blond male turns to eye one of the passing girls. The frequently seen herd can mean only one thing. ELLIS!!!!! Pushing from his stool, Kelly begins the slow walk back towards the entrance, his arm reaching out to try and wrangle it around Shane's shoulders in the process. "Shane...you don't suck after all. I was afraid. We keep loosing more and more of our kind to...them." Them being a small group of passing preps who have, somehow, managed to survive in the X without being attacked. You can spot them by their obnoxiously loud clothing and cluelessly work jewelry (making them a prime mugging target).

"Hey, man." Shane grins. "Hey, just because the fosters try putting a diamond collar on a mutt doesn't turn him into a poodle... just a mutt with a sparkly collar." He looks around, "So apparently... all the fun and taste is on this side of town, I take it..." His gaze catches the group of school girls, "Well... the other side of the tracks does have its merits too."

Ellis' eyes scan the stools looking for.. and she almost misses him when she doesn't see him there, but then closer and not seated - "Kelly!" she calls out to him in an attempt to catch his attention. She does continue through the growing crowd to join the boys adding a "Hey," for Shane as well once she does.

Kelly laughs, nodding to Shane, though as Ellis passes him up he reaches to gi9ve her hair a firm tug, "Woooah girlie, where's your fella?" he teases, glancing back toward the entrance to search out Donovan. "I expected you guys to be attached at the hip after your date. Trouble in the proverbial paradise?"

Shane arches his eyebrows slightly. "Hey back." He looks in the direction of the bar. "I was going to get something to drink, either of you want something?"

"Hey!" This time is huffed towards Kelly for the tug of her hair. "It was just a date," Ellis informs him with a shrug. Okay so it was WAY more than she expected, but still. "Doesn't mean I have to go everywhere with him and can't go anywhere without. Besides, he had to work." Which might be the actual reason Donovan isn't around tonight. "A drink'd be great. Something... red?"

Kelly laughs, reaching to shove a red stained hand toward her before he reaches to thump her on the nose. Why? She had the nerve to get snarky with him. Shane's words do earn him his freedom from the blond though. "X-Drink...extra X..it's awesome. But it's purple not red..and you have to add the awesome." Then again after his display the other night it could leave one to guess that Kelly's idea of awesome is less awesome and more utterly retarded. He also reaches into his hoodie to produce that pretty little flask he stole only a few weeks ago. "You see the bus?" he asks without much hesitation. "Sucks to be them yeah?"

"Right... three X-Drinks, extra X... " Shane nods. "I'll be back in a few." He wades off into the crowd, wandering more or less towards the bar.

Ellis laughs. "OMG, seriously?" she asks, if the hand shoved in her face isn't clue enough his casual remark on the bus confirms it for her. "Epic. Okay, so maybe not epic, but still pretty great." As for the drink - "I was close." Red is halfway to purple anyway. The flask earns a grin all its own, "You're my hero," she teases.

"I'm so much more than a hero." Kelly teases back, turning to watch s Shane wanders away, which prompts a laugh, "I'd decided he didn't speak." He admits with a chuckle. "I'm pleasantly surprised that he's here. I have way to many preps as friends..sometimes I feel like you guys are trying to brainwash me into conformity." He grads his head, mimicking ... well, his very best scanners moment before he sighs. "I keep having nightmares that I'm going to wake up with a military cut and khaki shorts.

"You're such a dork," Ellis informs Kelly as Shane heads off after their drinks. "It is nice to see a few new faces, and I'd hate to see him end up like Becca Fowler," the name is said air edging towards disgust. There's only so much of people like her and Isabelle that she can take. "Promise I'll commit you if you ever show up anywhere like that." A military cut and khakis just doesn't fit Kelly.

Kelly grins, shrugging. "Yeah well....she's hot." He admits, though he does turn to glance over his shoulder, perhaps a bit paranoid with that confession. No Shane..you are not who he's checking for! The flask is lifted seconds later before its uncapped and tipped back. It's a healthy enough drink, and one that carries the bitter scent of bourbon with it. He also hisses a little before he tilts it toward her. "So, tell me about the date. Are we getting married in the spring? Was it worth blowing the whole 'Ellis Orange doesn't DO dating'?" he rolls his eyes, teasingly so.

Ellis just shakes her head for that comment on the other girl. Well that and his drink from said flask. As for the date she gives him a good shove to the shoulder. "Dork," she reminds him. No, there's no wedding coming up. "It was good," she admits with a smile that Kelly at least is sure to read into. "Took me to the Orchid for dinner which I .totally. wasn't expecting."

Shane starts heading back from the bar, three glasses in hand. It's obvious that he is not completely unfamiliar with the club scene, as he manages to cross by the dance floor, with three glasses of liquid, even with a slightly bit of sway to the beat, and only a little bit of splash on his hand. He has a slight grin on his lips, perhaps the most relaxed he's looked since he arrived in Lantern Hill. "Here ya go," as he offers the other two one of the drinks.

Kelly takes the drink, though he's pretty quick to offer the flask over toward the blond girl, 'Thank man." He allows, obviously rather impressed with Shane's navigation skillz. "So, the Orchid huh?" Kelly chuckles, "Wow..I'm a sad ass boyfriend. KC's lucky if I remember to pick up pizza for movies and naps. I need more game."

"Thanks," Ellis echoes Kelly in that, taking one of the offered drinks from Shane in one hand and the flask in the other. "I told him I'd be happy with Rickys', but..." They still ended up at the Orchid. Not that its a bad thing. "And you know how I love their risotto." Win win, right? She takes a drink from the flask first before offering it over to Shane. "Hey now, don't count yourself short. You have your good qualities too."

Shane licks the spilled drink from the back of his hand, before he takes the flask and pours just a bit of its contents into his glass. He looks between the two, before handing it back to Kelly, figuring it belongs to him over Ellis. He grins jokingly, "He does? I wouldn't mind seein' them."

Kelly laughs, taking back the flask without much hesitation. "Oh yeah, didn't you know? I have all kinds of awesome qualities. Like...Oh! I can scale a drain pipe like Spiderman and I totally can tell the Sylvester twins apart." How? He leaves that out fir now. "And I never cheat. And I'm to lazy to lie. I hear those are good things." He shrugs and takes another drink..once they are properly mixed.

Ellis laughs, "Yeah, like that..." she returns. "I was going to say you're a great friend and you always tell it like it is, but those work too." She won't argue with that, instead taking a drink from the cup in hand.

Shane chuckles. "Okay... guess those are pretty good qualities... " He shrugs slightly, "And you hang out with the coolest people." He sips on the "mixed" drink. His lips pucker slightly, "Okay, dude, interesting um... drink." He looks between the two, "Okay, I have been told all the vanilla things to do, what is there to do in this town that's actually fun... " He glances at the dance floor, eyes lingering for a second, "Besides here of course."

Kelly grins, shrugging easily enough. "Okay so it mixed better with vodka." Ahem. He also glances back toward the dance floor, his eyes lingering somewhere for a moment before he blinks free. "There's a roaming rave that slips through here pretty often. And then there's the beaches when its warmer. Doug has some decent parties..but you have to tolerate the peanut gallery."

Ellis just shakes her head, "Yeah.." she agrees about the choice of mixer, but in the end she shrugs. She didn't mix, but for them at least it's booze? "What he said," she adds in response to Shane's question. "Speaking of, didn't you say something about one coming up?" She turns a glance out over the crowd and apparently spots someone, "I've gotta talk to Cam, but you'll give me a ride home, yeah?" She waits for the answer about the ride before slipping off.

Shane nods, "Well, let me know when it's happening..." He glances, "In the meantime... I think I'm going to go get my dance-on for a little bit." He grins, "Catch ya later, Ellis."
