| Child Welfare Services recently placed Shane in the home of assistance district attorney Thomas Fowler and his wife Maggie. So far, Shane hasn't really gone out of his way to get to know many people, in fact, he could be described as rather quiet and aloof. He acts like he doesn't really expect to be around all that long.

- Public: Shane is the foster child of Thomas and Maggie Fowler. He has all the tale-tell signs of a "troubled youth", which seems to be a trait that Thomas is drawn to. He has tried to help several such kids before. From what people say, he's pretty handing at fixing cars in a pinch.
